TONY MILSTEAD JOINS SLOUGH LFC AS 1ST TEAM MANAGER/COACH

Slough LFC are delighted to announce the arrival of Tony Milstead as new 1st Team Manager and Coach.
Tony comes with a wealth of experience at both Junior and Senior level. He has been at QPR Ladies for the last 3 years, helping to guide them to South West Combination League trophy success in his first season, then achieving promotion to the FA Tesco Premier League Southern Division last year.
After a brief spell with Reading FC Women and a major knee operation, Tony is back in the game with Slough and is looking to develop a strong squad.
A full licence UEFA/FA coach, Tony has had many coaching roles in the game, including at Academy and Centre of Excellence levels spanning over twenty-five years. His previous clubs include Chelsea, Southampton, Fulham, Woking, Reading, QPR, Wycombe Wanderers and Farnborough Town.
Tony was senior coach and Reserve Team Manager at Farnborough Town when they were last in the Conference National, and had the amazing FA Cup run that ended in the Fourth round against Arsenal.
He has been instrumental in developing many young players who have since gone on to achieve at full professional level.
Tony is looking to strengthen the squad at Slough and welcomes players who would like to be part of the club's push for success.
"Slough Ladies is an ambitious club that has the potential to play at a much higher level in the women's game. I have been impressed with the players' work ethic, determination and willingness to learn in training. There are players here that certainly deserve to be playing further up the leagues. With a few more quality players to strengthen the side I believe we can go onto greater success." Tony Milstead joins existing coaching and management staff at the club, including Reserve Team Manager Luke Kennedy, who led his team to the Thames Valley Counties League Division 2 title last season, and long-standing club coach Mark Hill, an ex-professional with QPR, Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers and former Captain of Slough Town FC.
